Many medical professionals call Ardmore home as the area is nestled between Wake Forest Baptist teaching hospital and Novant Hospital off Silas Creek Parkway. Established in 1900, Ardmore was among the first residential neighborhoods with Victorian and Craftsman style homes, and the first neighborhood in the city to have detached garages for the commuters.
